This is essentially championship week in the KLAA North, and if you ask me, Waterford Mott is still the team to beat. The Corsairs enter this week tied with Walled Lake Central atop the league standings with identical 7-1 records, and barring a Mott home loss to Walled Lake Western or a Central loss at rival Walled Lake Northern on Tuesday, the game Friday at Central will decide who wins the league title. I still believe Mott is the better team, but then again, Central has proven me and others wrong all season and could do so again.
